What People Are Saying:

Great Trip in Paradise!

How can I describe paradise! We spend a week at the Sheraton Hotel located in Poipu, Kauai. Kauai has to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world and Poipu was amazing. The Sheraton Hotel is a relaxed and comfortable hotel located right on Poipu Beach. We spend most of our day sitting by the pool and when it got to warm jumping into the ocean. The colors of the ocean, sand, sky and foliage were a feast for my eyes. We explored the island and truly could feel the Aloha spirt in Kauai. I cannot wait to go back.
Mark, Las Vegas, NV

Great for a Honeymoon

I recently honeymooned at the Sheraton Kauia. The hotel was on a beautiful beach in Poipu... We ate breakfast every morning overlooking the ocean and surfers. The rooms were okay (garden wing) but we were hardly in them b/c there is so much to see on Kauai. The hotel is very casual. peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed the free mai tail hour while watching a hula show. Also, a much better value compared to other resorts on Poipu beach.
Todd, Sacramento, CA

Friendly Staff and a Great Location

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was a perfect experience!
Tyler, Houston, TX

Terrific Beach and Excellent Views from Our Room

Oceanfront rooms were great, but the Garden section is a little tired. Buy accordingly. The oceanfront section was completely rebuilt after the huricane, and the rooms are quite nice. We loved the place and ate every dinner there except one. Food was good thought pricey, and we spent about $120 a night for our meal. Were going back soon, as we really enjoyed our stay.
Patrick, Salt Lake City, UT

Enjoyed the Breakfast Buffet

We knew about the $23 resort fee coming in. Seemed not worth it until we realized that there was a free breakfast buffet every morning. The breakfast was well worth the resort fee, even with just two of us eating (eating out is expensive in Hawaii). Items did get monotonous after 4 days. Rooms were small and needed updating. Maybe trying to have a rustic feel. Doors on the garden side slam shut loudly! Staff, masseuses, and free mai-tai hour every night all were great.

Heaven On Earth

First visit to Hawaii; Sheraton was like Heaven on Earth. Great staff, beautiful rooms, fantastic views & beach, lots to do for all ages. Going back this year.

A Good Value and Great Experience

We made our selection to stay at the Sheraton from the internet...it was well represented. We love this island, and appreciated the wonderful service of your staff as well as the conveniences your property provided

Gold Medals for this Sheraton

In preparing for our stay on Kauai, we researched the net extensively, including all the info regarding "oceanfront" versus "garden rooms." We were very pleased to have opted for the oceanfront room, simply because it was neat, clean, spacious enough, and a chip shot from the beach. Reflecting on some of the reviews we read, it seems that some of the reviews described more about the reviewers than the resort. Anyway, the grounds are picturesque, and all the staff are happy to make your stay the same. Our favorite meal was breakfast, with the fresh air, oceanview, and bird watching. In touring all the coastal island we could get to, it is our feeling that the south shore of Kauai has the best hotel beaches, and that the Sheraton value is hard to beat. Pick your room according to your budget, and maybe save some dinner $ by catching a few meals in nearby Koloa. We highly recommend a day at the north shore beaches, a boat ride up the Napali Coast, and a day at Waimea Canyon. We hope to return soon to this beautiful place, and the Sheraton Kauai!
Ray and Nancy Kozusko, Katy, TX

Honeymoon of a Lifetime!

This was our honeymoom and first visit to Kauai, and the Sheraton was absolutely wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and the activity planner really made our trip very fun and fulfilling. The breakfast buffet was great and the view couldn't be more ideal in the morning. We definetly will return someday and will look forward to staying in the Sheraton again, Thank you for making our trip so Great!!!
Kristen Preston, Gretna, NE

Great honeymoon hotel

My wife & I stayed here for our honeymoon in July. The beach was fantastic. Rooms were a little older, buit still very nice. The beach is really what appealed the most to us since there aren't many hotels on good beaches in Kauai. Good location in poipu too.
James, Stillwater, OK

We loved the views

My wife and I really enjoyed visiting Kauai for the first time and we specially liked staying at the Sheraton in Poipu on the Southern end of the island. What wonderful views from our window of cocount trees and sunsets. The beach was so enjoyable we spent most of every afternoon swimming and sunbathing. We did not think the restaurant was very good though. Everything was almost nice but not quite up to standard - including the place settings and the service. But it was not bad either. The staff was very well trained and made us feel right at home. We look forward to going back soon
Chuck Catchart, Los Angeles, CA

Great beach, nice oceanfront room, okay groiunds...

My wife and I stayed for a week at the Sheraton Kauai Resort for our second honeymoon/20 year anniversary. Overall, we liked our stay and loved the rate we paid. Our agent, Daniel Blau, really listened to needs, and looked into two options that we wanted. The Sheraton Kauai Resort won out, since the Grand Hyatt Kauai was doing room renovations and not really discounting their rooms. The grounds were okay, but we can see that they need a face lift. The rooms, on the other hand, look great for a Sheraton room. Daniel set us up with a Deluxe Oceanfront room, and we requested the ground floor. We had our request granted, and boy were we happy! We sat out on the patio and felt like royalty as we watched the sun set every day. Would we recommend the Sheraton Kauai Resort to other guests? Overall, yes. We do, however, hope they update the building exteriors to match those lovely rooms. One thing is for certain, though, and that is that we'll be happy to book with Daniel again for our next trip to the islands! Thank you again, Daniel and Great Hawaii Vacations!
Keith R., Annapolis, MD

Place needs some work

The positives: the location of the Sheraton Kauai cannot be beat. Poipu Beach is one of the best beaches in Hawaii. We loved it. The bad: this place is in need of the renovations. For what they are charging, they can use some serious upgrades. Compared to the nearby Grand Hyatt, it needs work.
