All the hotels booked through you were excellent. We especially enjoyed the upgrade at the Islander on the beach in Kauai. They upgraded us to an oceanfront room because it was our anniversary. The hotel itself is beautiful. We also liked the Lahaina Shores in Maui and would stay there again for location, service and price. The accomodations at Kona By The Sea was excellent. We were able to get the specific room we requested, which was the key. In looking at some of the other rooms as we walk by, the quality of the rooms vary significantly as we discovered last year. Unfortunately they do not guarantee a specific room even if we're willing to pay extra, so it's a risky proposition. Your team and John Young, the GM at the resort, worked with us and it turned out well because we were able to stay in one of the renovated units which is nicely decorated. I wish they would accomodate a guarantee for a particular unit, which would encourage us to stay there more. Since we go for 2.5 to 3 weeks each year, we don't want to end up in a unit that has issues which would make our vacation experience degraded. We also used Barefoot tours to book a horseback riding trip, and that worked out fine. We had to make some changes due to the weather, but Barefoot handled that for us with no problems. I don't know if you're still partnered with them, but they are continuing to provide good service. I discovered however that their "discount" isn't always cheaper than if you booked it yourself. We wanted to do the helicopter over the volcano and discovered that the price going direct was cheaper than booking through Barefoot, so we booked it direct ourselves. With the web, the tour companies seems to be bypassing the tour companies when possible. But you need a PC and be able to research the various companies on your own to do it. As always, we were very pleased with Great Hawaii Vacations. Your service continues to be outstanding. Keep up the good work and take care of the terrific people you have.

We just returned from our trip to Kauai. We had a great time! The Prince Kuhio room was perfect..we had an ocean view on the 3rd floor. It was very quiet..(a few roosters around but nothing bothersome). We picked up the car without any hitches..driving from the airport at night was interesting!!

They provided us with a map..so we found our way. Thank you for all your help! We have received your postcards. Do you have properties on Maui?

That will be our next Hawaii trip. Not sure when we will go. Again thank you for your help.

Thank you for taking care of our booking in Honolulu. The Hilton Prince Kuhio is a conveniently located property which has undergone a huge renovation. The rooms are beautifully decorated (modern Japanese/Hawaiian flavor) and designers have paid every attention to detail. The bedding is wonderful, the shower huge, and the flat screen TV, a bonus. The place is very clean and personable. We would definitely stay there again.

Please let me know if you deal with some higher end condos in Wailea, Maui. i. e. The Palms.

Your company was first-rate to deal with, and I was particularly impressed by the ?inside info? I got regarding construction that was taking place at my first choice resort. I had been getting quotes from a similar booking agency, and they knew nothing about the construction issues at the Hilton.

On your recommendation, I booked the Marriott instead. It was great. The vouchers you sold us were great value with the included breakfast and free nights, and on check-in we asked for and received an upgrade to a cabana rather than a hotel room for an additional nightly fee.

I wanted to thank Jennifer for making my families vacation the most memorable vacation ever. I called and spoke with Jennifer back on June 9, 2007. She quoted me a price that was perfect for our vacation. She made all the arrangements at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii. I received all my paper work via email when she told me I would receive it. I even got a call a coupled days before the trip to see if I had everything or if I had any questions.

We were greeted at the airport with Lei?s, retrieved our bags. We were then shuttled to Dollar rent a car (a little bite of a line, but not Jennifer?s fault). The car was just what she reserved for us. I think we were all elated when we got to the hotel. My 12 year old son wanted to know if this was a joke because of the size of the resort. Beautiful Hotel. Every detail of the trip went just as Jennifer planned it. This letter is to express my gratitude for the excellent service I received from your diligent and dedicated staff. In August of 2007 I was given a brief opportunity to take a vacation. I was determined to travel to Hawaii and secure lodging on a limited budget of $1200.00. I quickly became frustrated as I reviewed what seemed like one hundred different web sites with expensive promises of paradise in cold calculated packages that left me feeling like pawn in a lesser game.

Fortunately I stumbled upon Great Hawaii Vacations. Operator 114 was warm, professional and courteous. He introduced himself as Scott and shared his personal knowledge of the islands. He literally worked with me for two days patiently listening to my need to be in a contemporary setting where transportation and adventure were readily available.

My stay at the moderately priced Aqua Palms and Spa was delightful. Upon arrivals I upgraded to a deluxe room on the eleventh floor overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Hilton Hawaii Village and a magnificent skyline. My days were warm and majestic and my nights were set to the soothing sights of the city. On Friday evenings the sky above the Hilton Hawaiian Village was ablaze with dazzling lights from the weekly fire works display. My room with a balcony and view was clean and comfortable with free continental breakfast and more than adequate amenities. I consider the Aqua Palms & Spa an exceptional value for the frugal traveler.

Thank you for hiring professionals like operator 114 who helped to revitalize a weary soul with limited resources. I know I will return to the Hawaii for my dream vacation and book with Great Hawaiian Vacations simply because my loyalty is a direct results of your integrity and professionalism.

We had a great time. We loved the Kaanapali Alii; great location, beach, accomodations, etc. We then went to the Big Island, and had a great time on a helicopter tour arranged by Barefoot. On to the Fairmont Orchid in Kona where again it was a very nice place. Pretty pricey to eat there, and the beach wasn't as nice as Maui, but overall very pleasant.

Our airline messed up getting us out there a day late (one night at the Condo at the Alii we unfortunately paid for and didn't use) so they gave us a voucher for another flight to Hawaii so we will definitely be going again.

We had a great time in Kauai and really enjoyed our condo at the Nihi Kai Villas. We stayed in #702 and were very happy with how clean it was and that everything we needed was right there including beach towels. The only comment on it is that the kitchen is a bit dated but other than that it was great. When we went to pick up our keys the very friendly staff offered us our first Mai Tais of the trip which was a lovely way to start our holiday. When we arrived at the condo it was a very nice touch to have a bottle of wine and two wine glasses waiting for us in the fridge. It really did make us feel welcome and that we really were on holiday.

The condo on Maui that Charity was able to book for us was just breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!! The Kamaole Sands was roomy, clean and plenty of space for 7 adults. The view from our balcony was awesome. The closeness to the beach and other amenities was fantastic. We will definitely return.

Dear Cheryl,

I am writing to express our sincere family thanks and appreciation following our recent vacation at JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa, Ko Olina, O'ahu.

We received a free upgrade to a luxury full-size car from Dollar car rental on arrival at Honolulu airport on Friday 27th July.

Then, on checking-in to Ihilani we were informed of a free upgrade of our 2 rooms from mountain view to ocean views! This was fantastic, and the rooms were modern, clean and spacious. Any issue at all was efficiently attended to by the warm and welcoming staff. I must admit that I had read some less than complimentary feedback on the TripAdvisor web-site about Ihilani resort, especially about slow baggage delivery to the rooms and slow valet-parking service. I am very pleased to state that we had no such complaints whatsoever....indeed there were several occasions when I saw car valets "sprinting" to the garage to retrieve a requested car...excellent and always courteaous service at all times. I should also mention the excellent breakfast buffet package that you arranged for us as part of our reservation. The food was fresh, varied, and the fresh juice-extractor a highlight for my family. We dined in all of the options at Ihilani - pooside bar, Naupaka, Azul and Ushio-Te restaurants. We enjoyed them all, especially Azul, and also Roy's at the golf club. Oh, and yes we managed to squeeze-in a golf-clinic for myself, a 9 hole round of golf ,and my wife enjoyed 2 superb massages at the spa!

Please use this email as a reference for recommending Ihilani, as well as for providing positive feedback to your contact at the resort.

We have returned to the UK exhausted but with very many happy memories of our wonderful stay at Ihilani.

Our vacation was great! I am glad we chose both properties for our vacation. Both were very different and we liked having a mix. The Sheraton was very good welcoming us and giving us a ocean front upgrade. The Weston wasn't as classy with the welcome but they did call and drop notes off to make sure we were happy. We recieved an oceanfront upgrade from them as well. I had to push for the upgrade but they fulfilled our request. Having the car was nice as well.

Our vacation was fantastic with very little hitches. The sheraton is a nicer hotel,mellower with a nice grass lawn. The Weston's hotel is a little dated but the grounds and pool are fantastic. A little busier and "Vegas" like but again we liked the mix. Thanks for your help!

Our accommodations were great; which took him a lot of time b/c we were traveling with 3 kids. No one wanted to come home. I have given Kavan's name to some friends who are thinking about traveling to Hawaii; hopefully they will contact him.

Planning a vacation is always tough b/c you want it to be perfect. Kavan really knew his stuff and "listened" to our requests. He should be commended for that. sometimes you have agents to try to sell something to get some kind of kick-back and push just about anything. Kavan was right on the money with all of his suggestions and helped us work within our price range.

Our vacation was absolutely spectacular, so much so, that we have booked with Mahina Surf for next year. I believe Tammy has already contacted Patti in your office to make the necessary arrangements with you folks.

We did have a bit of a sour note on our vacation with the Luau - for my husband and I, it was the first time in Hawaii and, of course, we wanted to experience everything possible. We booked a Luau "Feast at Lele" and were very disappointed...there were 16 of us in our group, we were promised we would be sitting together, that did not happen. Not only that but part of our group could not even see the show nor take pictures etc. Feast at Lele should not be categorized as a Luau - it is a dinner and show - we did remedy the situation by going to the extra expense of booking another Luau for the last night we were there.

We did have a great time in Hawaii and are looking forward to many more visits to the island "Paradise".

Our vacation at the Hyatt-Kannapali, Maui was wonderful!! The hotel was so beautiful and we loved the very talented musicians that played at night!!
