Oahu is a great Island, but what made it even better was staying at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Everyone there made you feel so special. They went out of there way to make sure you had a wonderful stay. I will never stay any where else when vacationing in Oahu.

Favorite Place on Earth

Whenever the stress of life catches up with us ... we can close our eyes and picture ourselves walking down that "Pink Breezeway" (as our 12 year old daughter refers to it) just off the lobby at the Royal Hawaiian. Besides the beauty of the hotel, the warm, welcoming, friendliness of the staff at the Royal Hawaiian; walking towards beach, and seeing that 'Royal' blue surf sparkling at the end of the breezeway is truly an awesome thing. What a calming memory for all of us ... to be able to just imagine that breeze stirring through the open air lobby, and taking in the sweet aroma of the beautiful and fresh flowers that abound inside; as we walk out towards our pink lounge chairs on the stunning Waikiki Beach. We look forward, with great anticipation, to our "Fourth Annual" stay at the Royal Hawaiian in just a few weeks from now. We would like to say "Mahalo" to 'Dad' for indulging his 3 girls with their yearly stay at their favorite "Pink Palace". Truly our favorite place for our family to enjoy

We loved the Royal Hawaiian!!

Our vacation at the Royal Hawaiian was a definitely full of surprises. Our agent was very good at describing the charms of this historic hotel, but seeing is believing.

When you first see the Royal Hawaiian, in all of it's "pink glory" set right in the middle of the busiest city on Oahu, you get just a sense of what Hawaii once was. But when you pull up in the driveway, the city just disappears behind the tall palms and beautiful gardens. Then you are welcomed by a most enthusiastic hotel staff and presented with beautiful orchid leis.

The rooms are large and comfortable and furnished in elegant Old World European style. There is a walk-in closet and plenty of drawer space, so unpacking was a breeze. They also provide terry-cloth slippers and big, fluffy pink bathrobes. The decor is so inviting and comfortaqble, you don't want to leave, but the grounds are so beautiful you just have to get out and stroll.

We really enjoyed our evenings at the Mai Tai Bar, watching the sunsets and listening to the live entertainment. The bartenders are entertaing plus they make a lethal Mai Tai!

The Royal Hawaiian is centrally located in downtown Waikiki, and during the day it is fun to join the "hustle and bustle" of big city life, but it was most rewarding to return at night to our special old-world hideaway.
