We were wondering whether to stay at the Royal Hawaiian or the Sheraton Moana. I think my wife would agree that we made the right decision. We stayed in an oceanfront room that faced out towards Diamond. It was simply beautiful. I cannot tell you how nice it is to wake up in the morning to such a gorgeous view. It was great. The hotel is a bit older than some of the other hotels in the area, but we enjoyed it very much. If we ever get a chance to get to Hawaii again, I am sure we will be coming back to the Moana.

Nice Place to Vacation
My husband and I stayed in Oahu for a few days during our ten-year anniversary. We like the Sheraton because it had a lot of history. The room we stayed in was small (we stayed in the original building), but we like the oldness of it. The windows were arched and you could open them and look out at the beach. The service was very good. We did not stay at the hotel much (a lot of sightseeing), but did spend an afternoon at the poolside bar, and really enjoyed it. The only negative thing about our stay was we had a bathroom window - which was only covered by a sheer curtain. The people in the next tower could easily see in to the bathroom - we had to use a towel to cover the window. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay.
