What a classy place
We were wondering whether to stay at the Royal Hawaiian or the Sheraton Moana. I think my wife would agree that we made the right decision. We stayed in an oceanfront room that faced out towards Diamond. It was simply beautiful. I cannot tell you how nice it is to wake up in the morning to such a gorgeous view. It was great. The hotel is a bit older than some of the other hotels in the area, but we enjoyed it very much. If we ever get a chance to get to Hawaii again, I am sure we will be coming back to the Moana. |

Nice Place to Vacation
My husband and I stayed in Oahu for a few days during our ten-year anniversary. We like the Sheraton because it had a lot of history. The room we stayed in was small (we stayed in the original building), but we like the oldness of it. The windows were arched and you could open them and look out at the beach. The service was very good. We did not stay at the hotel much (a lot of sightseeing), but did spend an afternoon at the poolside bar, and really enjoyed it. The only negative thing about our stay was we had a bathroom window - which was only covered by a sheer curtain. The people in the next tower could easily see in to the bathroom - we had to use a towel to cover the window. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay. |

Charming hotel
I really enjoyed my stay at the Moana Surfrider. This hotel really took me back in time with its elegant architecture. The open air lobby is inviting and there is this magical Banyan Tree in the courtyard. The staff was friendly and professional .. with so much Aloha Spirit. There is a great poolside bar and the Moana is on the best part of Waikiki Beach. The sand was so soft! For a unique experience you must enjoy the Moana's traditional afternoon tea! |

Amazing
My wife and I honeymooned in Hawaii 30 years ago. When we were there we walked by this magnificent, old hotel on the beach andpromised ourselves we'd make it back one day and stay there. Well, 30 years later we finally made it back and our stay at the Moana Surfrider surpassed our wildest dreams. The rooms we amazing, managing to keep their nostalgic feel without seeming old and dated. The beach was pristine, the restaurants top notch and the location can't be beat. Even though it took us 30 years to make it back we're hoping our next trip will be much shorter than that. What a place... |

The Classy First Lady of Waikiki...Still Great!
My wife and I have stayed at the Moana Surfrider almost a dozen times over the past 20 years. We can't say enough about how nice this hotel is, especially now that it has been running under the Westin banner. The rooms exude charm and elegance, something you only find in a few places across the Hawaiian Islands.
If you are looking for the quintessential Hawaiian classic, look no further than the Moana Surfrider. You'll love it! |
