Best Beachfront Resorts in Hawaii

Hawaii is known for its beautiful beaches.  Waikiki… Kaanapali… Poipu...  the list goes on.  With so many amazing resorts on these beaches, which hotel will serve you the biggest slice of paradise?  Below are our recommendations for Hawaii’s best beachfront hotels.

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, on Kaanapali Beach - Maui

Highlights:  large pool with waterslide; five restaurants; great luau; world-class spa

The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa is one of the original destination resorts in Hawaii.  Built thirty years ago (but kept current with numerous renovations) it was one of the first hotels to take the look and feel of the culture surrounding it into account with their design schemes, and it certainly shows. Long known as one of the most “Hawaiian” hotels in the state, there are authentic touches of Hawaii everywhere; from the tropical birds singing in the lobby to the Drums of the Pacific luau performed on the hotel grounds. Fun fact:  the smoothie was invented here back when the hotel opened in 1980.

Westin Maui Resort & Spa, on Kaanapali Beach - Maui

When vacationing with kids, one of the most important criteria can be the quality of the pool at the Resort.  In this department the Westin has few peers.  They have five pools, some of which are joined together as they meander through the grounds.  The hotel also boasts two great waterslides.  The hotel has a great location on the famed Kaanapali Boardwalk and is just a few short steps from Whalers Shopping Village.
