First Maui experience, 4.5 Should have been a 5
We would have rated this as excellent had the management responded immediately to our only problem during our stay. We arrived late in the evening and were extremely tired from the long trip from Minnesota. Our penthouse which was on the third floor had bedrooms that faced the Shops at Wailea. The noise generated by very noisy patrons from the outdoor bars & restaurants until after 1 am prevented us from getting any rest to enjoy our stay two nights initially. After contacting our agent at Great Hawaii vacations we were moved from building K to building L by the manager with no further noise problems. Staff there are very polite and courteous. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable.
The grounds are beautiful and the privacy is unmatched in the area we stayed after canvassing the area. If you do not want to spend the money on the oceanview penthouse as we did for the view, the villas are very nice, A & B are the only ones actually directly in the front of the property, building D on the top floor is where we might book next trip. There is a path that connects all of the oceanfront properties so you can go for a run or walk, and grab coffee, lunch, dinner or a drink without having to drive.
Best service and food, Nicks at The Fairmont. Great snorkel, Maui Prince hotel, Diving, Mike Severens. |
