Great Getaway!
We stayed at the Marriott for 5 nights. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful, responsive and friendly. There is a nice swimming pool overlooking the ocean. The property does not have its "own" beach but rather one has to walk to next door properties (a 45 second walk) There is a great spa on the property. Parking is FREE. If you want peace, quiet and tranquility this is the place to be. I do not play golf but there are some great looking golf courses a short walking distance away. There are on site laundry services, a Mall next door and tons of good restaurants within walking distance. |

Inconsistancies!
As return visitors to Wailea, we thought we'd try something new last Christmas. Our experiment wasn't a disaster, but it was not a success either. I've never before had such inconsistant service from a hotel. On the one hand, they brought a nice fruit plate to our room one day. On the other hand, they left me sitting for 45 minutes in the waiting room of the spa - they just forgot about me and my appointment! No apology, no offer to reschedule, no nothing. The grounds were nice, but nothing compared to the other big Wailea resorts, and all the restaurants were quite a disapointment. Although the Marriott is less expensive than other Wailea resorts, I'd say it's money well spent to splurge on another property. |

Amazing!
All right, let me paint a picture...You're in your car pulling into the driveway of the resort. Beautiful lush, green tree's cascading over the lane. You pull up and step out of the car into an open-air lobby. The scent of flowers and fruit engulf you. You are greeted by staff who "lai" you and escort you to your clean comfortable room. Mints on the pillows and all. Sound good? I thought so too! And the resort it gorgeous. There’s a big staircase that leads from the open outdoor lobby and beautiful gardens and ponds on the upper level down to 2 of the beautiful Oceanside pools. There is also a Waterpark for kids a short walk away and the beach is about a 30 second walk down a paved walking path. You can get a massage right on the oceanfront. Or just relax on beach chairs and watch the whales and dolphins (which are plentiful even on the off season) swim by. And maybe catch a glimpse of a sea turtle floating around in the waves. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Maui is the place to go if you're considering Hawaii. |

Love Wailea!
We loved the Wailea Beach Marriott! I had my heart set on staying in Wailea but I didn't think it was going to work with our budget .. then Patti Taylor at Great Hawaii Vacations suggested the Marriott! What an amazing value! We had an beautiful ocean view, fun pool for the kids .. short walk to wonderful restaurants and shops. And don't let the rocky coastline in front of the hotel discourage you .. we had to walk all of about 45 seconds to the beach in front of the hotel next door. We are already planning a return visit! |

Even better the second time!
My husband and I honeymooned at the Wailea Beach Marriott, so we decided to return for our five year anniversary this year. What a difference! We liked the hotel on our honeymoon, but they spruced the place up! We weret told by the staff that they did some major renovations back in 2008 and it really shows. Our room was GORGEOUS. We can't wait to go back!! |
