Perfect for Couples

We have stayed twice at the Grand Champions in Wailea. Once in January and once in July. Loved it both times. The gardens are wonderful. The units are large. The units are privately owed and vary in decor. The one we stayed at had a simple but nice Asian/Hawaian look. Our one bedroom was bigger than my first apartment, with two full baths and a large lanai with an ocean view. Set up on the hill a bit, gives the complex wonderful evening breezes and the condos have great flow through ventilation - we never used the air conditioning at night. We woke up each morning to the tropical birds singing in the bamboo forest. The complex is quiet - perfect for a couple like ourseleves. Some of our favorite evenings were spent having drinks and dinner on the lanai and watching the sunset. You'll want a car. The beaches in Wailea are great, but we like Big Beach in Makena even better and it is only 10 minutes away.
