Out of 5 stars, I give it 8!
It doesnt get any better than this resort. My husband and I wanted for nothing other than more time.
The room was absolutely stunning, the grounds gorgeous and the aloha spirit from the employees made us very very comfortable and left us feeling as if we were royalty. You MUST book a ocean front or ocean view room. I cannot imagine coming all the way to Kauai and spending the money we did and NOT getting an ocean view. It was spectacular!
We enjoyed many sunsets that are etched into my memory.
Overall, the food quality at all the resort restaurants was excellent. There are two huge freshwater pools built on a lower and upper levels. Along these pools are waterfall caves, hidden jacuzzis and a very fun water slide. There is also a massive salt water lagoon that you can float or kayak in.
This Resort is a must see, must stay, almost perfect resort in Poipu! |

Super Nice Resort for Couples
We just returned from a 4 island (Kauai, Maui, Hawaii, Oahu) honeymoon, the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort was definitely one of the nicest places we stayed. The grounds were far and away the most attractive of any resort we saw on any island. The Princeville Resort on the north shore may have better views (and sunsets), but we found the weather consistently better in Poipu (where the Hyatt is) than in Princeville. The Poipu Bay golf course at the Hyatt is both beatiful and challenging. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone considering it. Great for couples! |

Best Experience We Ever Had
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was the best hotel experience we ever had. Everything from the Luau to the tide pools, the room, views and nightly entertainment was the best ever. The staff were so nice and attentive. We couldn't of had a better honeymoon anywhere else on this planet. |

Vacation of a Lifetime
If you're looking for paradise - this is it. But with a price tag to match. If you're only going to do it once-it's worth it. Food is fabulous especially Tidepools, Donderas and the breakfast buffet, room-great, gardens beautiful and pools-wonderful. Luau was good but not as great as everything else. It was a vacation of a lifetime. |

A Beautiful Resort
A magnificient architectural wonder set in a lush paradise. From the moment you step foot into the expansive lobby you are overwhelmed by the beauty of your surroundings. The dining is divine, the staff and are service impeccable and the landscaping is absolutely beautiful. The pools and the saltwater lagoon make for wonderfully relaxing days. Can't wait to return to paradise |

We loved visiting this hotel with its beautiful pool area, charming shops, and restaurants. Step into the lobby and you step into a huge garden. You'll be overwhelmed by its beauty. |

On My Way Back
I am coming back on February 18, 2005 after missing you for several years. I have bragged unmercifully to my beautiful wife Rachel about your exquisite resort and absolutely cannot wait to bring her there. We have scheduled 7 nights and it won't be nearly enough! Love you Hyatt! See you soon! |

Romantic Getaway Destination
Absolutely the best vacation and romantic getaway ever. I went with my husband of 10 yrs to recharge our batteries this past summer. I can't say enough about how warm and inviting the man-made lagoons are that wrap around the property. We are hikers and really enjoyed the walking paths out to the beautiful beach scenery. If I were to send any honeymooner or anniversary couple anywhere it would be here! |

Paradise!
The Grand Hyatt Kauai is a the perfect place for a honeymoon. Thank you Great Hawaii Vacations for helping me pick the perfect location. The pools were awesome, the water slide was so much fun and we loved the salt water pool - it felt like we were in the ocean but it was even better!
Splurge on TidePools for dinner if you can - the food is fantastic! |

Splendid
We wanted to be pampered and we chose the best resort to have that.
My wife and I got away from the family and spent a relaxing week at the Grand Hyatt.... there is a good reason they call it Grand.
We had at least two spa treatments each... and we slept like babies after each one.
I lived on the world-class golf course and we also did most of the exciting tours on Hawaii's best island, Kauai.

Loved this resort
I traveled to Hawaii twice now and I love this resort. The rooms are great and the food is great. The beach is very pretty and you can see turtles and other fish. The hotel is near a lot of black lava but you can drive to places to eat and shop that are not that far away. I found that everything was excellent. The people that work there are great and well like I said the rooms. I just got back from PLay and well the 5 star hotels there are not like this place. The water was great there but the rooms and the food was not a great as this hotel. I ate somewhere called oodles of noodles which may be closed now but is was great. I went snorkeling with my family and saw many fish. I would go back if O didn't just get back from PLaya. |

10 Year Anniversary Stay
My wife and I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai for our 10 year anniversary. We loved most everything the resort had to offer, from the gardens to the restaurants. We really enjoyed the couples massage we had at the spa on-site. Swimming at night is a big plus, as the kids aren't around. The drive to Poipu Beach was short, but not as convenient as walking close by for a beach. With a better beach in front, I would have given this place a 5-star rating. |

Best Hotel on the S. Shore
My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt. The place is fabulous. Terrific facilities. We especially loved the pool area. It just meanders throughout the entire complex. The service of the property can be improved. Friendly people, but a bit slow on the service. The food at some of the restaurants was not very good. Particularly disappointed in Dondero's. Tidepools wasn't that much better either. The buffet was quite good, however. Overall, again, it was a great time had. We will surely be returning |

Can't wait until the renovations are all done
We've stayed at the Grand Hyatt many years back. We really enjoyed our stay. We understand that the hotel is undergoing some renovations right now. I cannot wait to see the improvements. We're planning to go back next year. |

Most romantic place on earth
My husband and I just returned from our private getaway to the Grand Hyatt. This was our first time going there and we wanted to go there to "make a baby". We own a business and we are under so much stress all of the time. The Grand Hyatt was the perfect setting and the most romantic place we have ever been. Let's hope for the best! |
