Will Be Back!!
I stayed there with my wife for a week in June. It is a relatively small, low key resort. It has a traditional Hawaiian look unlike other hotels in West Maui area. Their private beach was one of the best places for snorkeling. It was actually better than Molokini Island. Our ocean view unit w/kitchen was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Be sure and request AC, it is def needed. We had it, but learned that some don't. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was just average. Rental car is recommended if you'd like to join activities outside of the resort such as shopping, hiking, half day trips to nearby islands, etc. If you are seeking for relaxing vacation, I'm sure that Napili Kai is one of the best choices. |

My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort two years ago for our 35th anniversay. We will definitely be going back. Having a full-size kitchen was perfect for us since we have some dietary needs most easily accomodated by fixing our own breakfast. It was also great for storing wine, cheeses and fruit for late munching while sitting on the private lanai. We didn't have air conditioning, but truly can't say we missed it - the trade winds kept things quite comfortable for us, but to each his own. This small, friendly resort is just what we look for while on vacation. There are plenty of things to do off the property, and we want quiet and pleasant surroundings when we get back "home" from our adventures. Great place. |

I have been here twice and loved every minute of it. Old Hawaiian feel and a great beach as well. Very relaxing and old school feel of Hawaii. You don't get the glitz of the mega hotels but it is what your stay in Maui should be like. |

totally relaxing
Unlike hotel row in Kannapali, Napili Kai is totally relaxing. With a beautiful beach and manicured grounds, one can just relax through the day. We walked, used the gym, played putting golf, snorkeled, sat of the beach, and drank a Mai Tai at the beach restaurant. Because of a food allergy, we ate most of our meals on our patio. I called the office and asked where the table mats are kept. I was told there are no table mats. Management needs to fix this. The American flag also should fly above the Napili Kai flag.
We are coming back with or without mats and incorrect flag placement. |
