Wonderful Maui Vacation Spot

This was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was very clean and had an excellent view of the beautiful gardens and waterfall. The pool was accessible to everyone for it was in the middle of the property. The beach was just a walk across the street. Shopping was just a short drive up the way, about a mile. There was a washer, dryer, and a kitchen with everything you would need but the food. Great price and excellent stay.

An extremely noisy and uncomfortable stay

The living area, kitchen and bathrooms were fine.
What completely ruined our stay was an air conditioning unit which far exceeded all acceptable noise levels. In fact, we could not make ourselves heard over the noise, let alone try to sleep, so we were forced to leave it off. The bedroom blind was damaged and, as our unit was opposite the elevator, afforded no privacy. Anyone passing by could look straight into the room. The bedroom was very small, as was the bed, and very hot and stuffy.

Very disappointing and, Maui being the last island we visited, an unworthy ending to what had otherwise been a great holiday in Hawaii.

Beautiful, Spacious, convenient!!!

I would recommend Kamaole Sands to anyone! The condos are economically priced but it does not show! The condos are spacious with full ammenities. The rooms were clean and stocked with towels etc. Our room even had a a couple boogie boards and beach towels. We did not access the cleaning service as we are perfectly capable of cleaning up after ourselves but they do make that available. There a short walk to the beach, a great pool and two spas. Great place to bring your family for vacation, especially if you are on a budget!!

Pleasantly Surprised

Stayed at the Kamaole Sands and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room and grounds were. We did not have daily maid service. Our unit had everything we needed so we did not miss the service. It is helpful to stop at Costco which is near the airport to stock up on food for your stay. We normally book the big fancy resorts, like the Maui Westin, but we are cramped and charged WAY too much (breakfast buffet $22.95!). The whole family agreed it was better at the Kamaole Sands, especially due to the better beaches here and a few miles south to Wailea and Makena. The variety of great resturants in this area was also nice when we chose to dine out. We will stay here again.
