Favorite Place to Visit!

We read a lot of bad reviews about the Royal Lahaina Resort after we had booked our trip and considered changing hotels. We were very glad we didn?t! The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel could use some renovating (I heard it was going to happen soon). We stayed in a partial ocean view room and we loved it. The view was incredible. We had the breakfast in the morning, which I would definitely recommend! The beach was well maintained and absolutely stunning! The pool bar overlooking the ocean is a good place to relax and have a cool drink! I recommend a LAVA FLOW! Snorkeling is just a few steps away and it is incredible! You must visit the town of Lahaina. There is so much to see and do. The Banyan tree is one of them. If you like sport fishing, I would recommend the Kai Akua. It?s a beautiful boat! Bubba Gumps, Compadres (located in the Cannery mall), and Maui Tacos are a must to try! Over all, this was one of the best vacations ever and I will definitely return. I would recommend the Royal Lahaina Resort to anyone visiting Maui!

Nice place to stay for the price!

It was me and my partner's first time in Hawaii, and staying at the Royal Lahaina made our first visit a very happy and exciting one. Though it lacked the aesthetic and number of activities that the other hotels at Kaanapali had, it was still a fun place to stay. The staff was nice and accommodating. We were really impressed on how the hotel pretty much had the whole beach to itself. The other side of Kaanapali Beach was too crowded. Snorkeling was awesome, and the sand was soft. I recommend renting a cabana for the whole day and doing nothing but lay on the beach.

Perfect Honeymoon

We recently visited Maui and stayed at The Royal Lahaina for our honeymoon. We had a partial ocean view room which was lovely, and I would advise you to choose an ocean view room for an even better view. We took a trip to Lanai to see the dolphins and snorkle which was fantastic. We dined at The Waterfront, Longhi's and Bubba Shrimps all of which served wonderful food and had an excellent choice of menu (especially seafood). We also spent a fantastic evening at the Warren and Annabelle magic show!!! Definately would visit this wonderful island again. Lots to see and do....

Best Place Visited Yet

We had the best time ever, stayed at Royal Lahaina Resort, very nice ocean front cottage. Our son lives in Lahaina so he was our tour guide, driver, cabanna boy, knew all the good places to eat, it was wonderful. We will be going back and taking our daughter and son in law and their 2 kids with us next year. The whales were awesome, could not get enough of them, watched them from our cottage, they were quite close to shore, saw dolphins, and a seal came onto our beach. Took the Hana road trip, altogether we put 500 miles on rental car. Cannot wait to go back. There is a lot to do that doesn't cost alot so don't have to take the expensive tours unless you want to. The weather was perfect every day

Fantstic Sister Trip

What a fabulous stay at the Royal Lahaina. Took my sister and I enjoyed our first trip to Hawaii. Will definitely come back with my husband this fall! A very special Thanks to everyone at the hotel and restaurants there. The accommodations in the newly renovated tower are just what we expected from a 5 star hotel! Even had a flat screen TV and nice roomy shower! The views from our ocean front hotel room were unbelievably beautiful. We were bushed from the trip the first night and decided to eat in on the balcony in our room... Everyone in the restaurant made it so easy and accommodating. We sat and had a fabulous hawaiian concoction while visiting with patrons in the bar while waiting for our Seafood dinner to go!! Thanks so much for a dream come true vacation. The ambiance of the establishment made us feel we were enjoying what we had always believed a Hawaiian resort was suppose to look and feel like....Again, thanks and Aloha!!!....we will be back!!

Wow! The best place I have ever visited!

My girlfriend and I were just amazed at the sites we stumbled across in Maui, the Royal Lahaina was one of them. We stayed in one of the cottages and they were nice enough, though we didn't spend much time indoors. We were told they were being renovated not long after we left and they look to be much nicer. We can't wait to go back. The snorkling was great, and if you get the chance I highly recommend the Basil Tomatoe Restaurant, we ate there three out of the eight nights we were there.

Wonderful Experience

My sister and I visited the Royal Lahaina Resort in January. It was a most rewarding experience. The views were beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. It was in the midst of the time when the whales return to Hawaii and we saw whales from the restaurant and from the property. We stayed in the cottages, which was fabulous. We chose to stay in a cottage with a garden view which worked out well. If you are looking to stay at a nice place, consider the Royal Lahaina Resort. There is a wonderful restaurant on the property, Basil Tomato.

Best Hawai'ian homeymoon we could ask for!

We just arrived home from our honeymoon and boy are we sad! The Royal Lahaina Resort was so beautiful! The staff was more than accomodating! I will strongly suggest the Royal Lahaina to anyone who may be considering!

Wonderful

After reserving a room in the older cottages, we were upgraded to the newly remodeled tower. It was simply beautiful -- lovely and modern dark wood furnishings, exceptional linens and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever used. We were given a partial view of the ocean and the mountains, which I thought was the best of both worlds. The service was consistently friendly and thoughtful. If we stay in this area again, which is very tourist focused, I look forward to staying at the Royal Lahaina again.

UNFORGETTABLE

My husband and I absolutely loved the Royal Lahaina. The Room was not the greatest, but that did not matter. Everything about Maui and the Royal Lahaina made our stay absolutely unforgettable. The breakfast was awesome to say the least. We ate breakfast looking out over the ocean almost evey morning-it was breath taking! It was a very romantic environment. I will never forget my honeymoon there. I can't wait to go back and going back to the Royal Lahaina is a must.
