Great 1st Time Experience
Our 1st trip to Hawaii was made even better by our stay at the Aston Papakea. It is a great condominium resort and lived up to all the comments, pictures, etc. listed on the website. We had a 2br/2ba condo ocean view unit. Being the skeptic that I am, I assumed that our 'ocean view' might mean a glimpse of the ocean from the bathroom but I was wrong. We had a full view of the ocean from our private lanai. Buildings are situated on the property at an angle and most units provide a great view. Also a view of the well-manicured/landscaped grounds including pool, jacuzzi, putting green and lush koi ponds. The unit was clean, spacious and housekeeping service was reliable. No problem with check in/out. The only thing was that it was a little noisy early in the morning for the room that backed up to the walkway. But I think travellers get up earlier because most of them are on 'mainland time'. Nice shopping center across the street, islands shops down the street. Beach in front is small, but you have access to beaches next door. The only other thing that I wasn't expecting is that while the property address is Lahaina, we were actually above Ka'anapali, about 5 miles north of Lahaina. Not a big deal but it was difficult to find that first night. When I go back to Maui next time, I would definetly consider staying at this resort again! |

Words cannot say what a delightful visit my family (of 15!) had at the ResortQuest Papakea resort. Beautiful, clean, well suited to families and couples, are just some of the phrases I can think of to describe Papakea. Great shops and restaurants nearby. So close to Lahaina as well, yet far enough away to be quiet. Ok, so there were a few early risers that were noisy on the walkway, but you would find that anywhere! Washers and Dryers in the unit's are a plus...PLEASE, dont change a thing. We'll be back as soon as we're able! |

been there 9 times and still the best!!!
This is the best resort ever! I have been there 9 times and it is still the best! One tip is if u go to the abc store use the back gate! It makes it much better and shorter! And if u need to rent boogie boards, surf boards, or snorkel gear go to the little shop next to the abc store. They are the most reasonable and most friendly by far! They are so nice! Hope u stay here! |

WILL COME AGAIN
STAYED IN OCEANFRONT 2BDRM & ROOM WAS CLEAN & UPDATED! VIEWS WILL KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF,STORES WERE CLOSE, LOTS OF EATING PLACES, ONE TINY THING THERE WAS A CHARGE TO USE A PUTTER ($3HR)EACH FOR THE PUTTING GREEN AND A CHARGE FOR SHUFFLEBOARD KIT ($4HR) WHICH WAS KINDA NICKLE & DIME STUFF BUT, WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED IN THE CODO....WE WILL COME AGAIN! |

So Well Worth It !!
We've been staying at Papakea for over 9 years. Great ocean view, close and easy parking. Lanai overlooks pool and well manicured landscape. Great for watchin whales pass by, while you sit on your own private lanai. Plenty of bar-b-ques and close to everything including Whaler's Village, Kanapalli beaches, Lahaina and Kapalua. Safeway store is down the street or ABC store is around the corner. |
