Great Place for a great price!

The Vista Waikoloa was a wonderful place to stay on vacation. The condos are deluxe, beautifully and comfortable furnished. Windows all around with a terrific view of Anaehomalu Bay. The units have ceiling fans and air-conditioning. It's only a 5-minute walk to the white sand beach. Great for swimming and snorkeling. We saw lots of tropical fish and turtles. The property is within walking distance of the King's Shops, several excellent restaurants (we recommend Roy's). Vista Waikoloa is so conveniently located. Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea, Mani Lani and the airport are all within a 1/2 hour drive. If you don't want to drive, the property is within walking distance of the Marriott, the King's Shops, golfing and the beach. The King's Shops has both shops and restaurants (we recommend Roy's). This is one of the nicest resorts we have stayed at on the Big Island. They are beautifully maintained and private. We heartily recommend the Big Island and Vista Waikoloa.

Our favorite vacation

We have stayed at the Vista on two occasions and are planning on another visit on the 22nd of July. Our first condo was A204 which faced the ocean but our favorite is B201. The furnishings are great and the master bedroom is huge. We love the private balcony off the bedroom as it is shaded by very tall palms. The balcony faces the pool but you can see the ocean off to the right. We enjoy having our breakfast and dinner out there and enjoy the beautifuly flowers that drape over the railing. My husband uses the workout room daily and I take my walks all around Waikiloa. We love the beach at A Bay. Our granddaughters now think of this place as their second home. The grounds are beautiful and the people delightful. We love to walk to Kings Shops and are looking forward to the new Queens' Marketplace. Can't wait for July 22nd. Aloha

A great place to stay

We loved the condo at Vista Waikoloa. We were only able to stay 1 week, but enjoyed our stay. We had a condo that had a view of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only draw back was our A/C didn't work correctly so we sleep one night with the doors open. The traffic was going all night, we pulled the fan from the closet, kept it on at night, slept like a baby. As for the condo it's self, very roomy, everything else worked nicely. The grounds are beautiful. We did not report the A/C since we had a fan, but I am sure that staff would have gotten right on it. Access to ocean very easy, we walked it every day. We will be going back, loved it that much.

Very Classy Condo

Just arrived home after spending a lovely week at the Mauna Lani Terrace. My husband and I enjoyed the large two bedroom overlooking the pool and the beach 100 yards away. This condo was well appointed with a Tommy Bahama look and felt very newly decorated. The kitchen and the wonderful grills at the private poolside, allowed my husband to cook to his hearts content. Most of the time I just made reservations at every four star restaurant on this "gold coast" of the Big Island. There are a lot of them, all super romantic, especially at night. The beaches were rather small but uncrowded and adequate. The beaches offered full bars with waitresses and incredible snorkling. The grounds are immaculate and excellent golfing on the property. Next time I'm going to invite my sister and her husband, with two and a half baths, it will be comfy and classy. PS.. the Muana Lani Terrace is owned by a Japanese corporation... you should try the sashimi at their sushi bar, it was incredible!

For breakfast, Kai offers a lavish buffet of morning favorites punctuated by fresh tropical fruits and juices. Families applaud kid-friendly selections and adults appreciate the variety of healthy selections.

Each evening, Kai is transformed to showcase a backdrop of shimmering moonlight amidst a luxuriant setting. Great Family Resort!!

We chose the Sheraton Keauhou because we heard that it is a family-oriented hotel. Our kids fell in love with the pool. It has a sand beach, waterfalls, bridges, fountains and a 200 foot-long "Lava Slide". There is also an Activities Center and daily children's programs with arts and crafts and a little history of the Islands. The room was great, roomy and clean. The beds were new and quite comfortable. It had a refrigerator was nice to keep cold drinks and water on hand. Yes this hotel is not right in the middle of the 'strip' but that what makes it a resort-you get to relax! Town is only a 10 min drive & theres some shops w/in 5 mins. The best part of this hotel are the manta ray's. The hotel overlooks iagiant cliff and a large group of mantas come here every night to feed. The hotel has a spotlight that shines on them all night. They put on a free show, dancing and playing in the waters below. The kids were mesmerized (so were we). One terrific feature of the Sheraton is their Hospitality Suite. We had a a late flight out and asked about a alate check-out. The staff suggested that we check-out at our required time and they would hold our luggage while we took advanatge of a few more hours on the Island. When we returned, we were shown their Hospitality Suite, this is a fully stocked room. They give it to you at no charge for 1 hour. Plenty of time to shower and change. We found this hotel a terrific place to stay, and our children agree. Mahalo!

My wife, myself and good friends of ours travelled to the resort in May. What wonderful people!!! The service was world class, the resort was absolutely gorgeous.. We've been to many places around the world and throughout the U.S. and have had no better experience. We'll be going back. That is certain!

Great Place

My sister and I spent a wonderful week at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. After reading one of the reviews, I was concerned that we would have to pay for our in room safe as was stated. The instruction sheet that comes with the safe does say that there is a charge to use it, however, when I called the front desk to ask what the charge was, I was told that there was no charge. Our package came with breakfast daily which made it a really nice bargain. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and had a wonderful outdoor atmosphere. We had an ocean front room and were very pleased with it. The hotel is on a beautiful stretch of beach and we saw green sea turtles daily. The hotel is the perfect size, not one of the huge intimidating hotels that are in the area. The shops are very nice and the staff was very polite and happy to answer any questions. We skipped the Luau (every Sunday and Wednesday) having been to one on a previous trip. However, when the entertainment started, we sat at the pool and enjoyed the show. Having Ocean Sports on site was very convenient to book our Whale watching and sunset cruise. Another convenience is the small shopping area just across the street where you can easily walk to. There is a food court with very reasonably priced food along with higher end restaurants. This is a very nice spot to stock up on anything you might need. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a beautiful, relaxing and quiet stay. The hotel is tastefully decorated and a pleasure to stay at.

Great Resort, Only One in Waikoloa on the Beach!

Aloha! My husband and I took our two kids to the Big Island for the first time, and we weren't sure where to stay. We considered the Hilton up the road, but your agent (Daniel) let us know there's no beach there, and the sand and waves are a requirement for us. We wanted a family-friendly place to stay, and the Waikoloa Beach Marriott worked out well for us. The rooms are nicely updated, but nothing special (after all, it's a Marriott). The well-maintained grounds, great pool areas and the beach really make this resort great, along with the great rates Daniel gave us. We had so much fun on the beach, and really enjoyed the restaurants on-resort. I also got some time at the day spa, which was much needed after a long school year. Thank you again, Great Hawaii Vacations, and we look forward to working with Daniel next summer!
Wendy G., Reno, Nevada

The property was absoluately wonderful. I was impressed with the beauty and how well it is maintained. The pools ,hot tubs and water silde(not just for chrildren) are terrific. The pics on the web site DO NOT give it justice. Everyone is freindly and helpful. There are two upscale shopping centers across the street with plently of variety. I would definity stay again.

One of my favorite trips to the islands!

Loved the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. "A" Bay Beach is amazing .. great swimming & snorkeling, saw green sea turtles everyday! Pool was nice .. could relax at the pool and hear the music from the luau. Strolling by the ancient fishponds was very cool! the Kings Shops across the way had some fun shops & yummy restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly .. all around great time once again! thank you Great Hawaii Vacations .. Patti Taylor & all the staff! We will definetly be calling you next year!

Waikoloa Beach Marriott is a very good value

We had the opportunity to stay between the Waikoloa Beach Marriott and the Hilton Waikoloa Village. We're glad that we chose the Marriott. Don't get me wrong, the Hilton looked amazing. But, for us, the smaller hotel worked out much better. Plus, the beach in front of the hotel was really nice. We enjoyed our stay.
Pierre Gordon, Studio City, CA

Great Value!

I so enjoyed my stay at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. "A" beach, the beach at the Marriott is very nice. I enjoyed seeing the Green Sea Turtles each day. The restaurants are nice and not overly priced. We walked to the Hilton next door to swim with the dolphins. And enjoyed walking to the Kings Shops!

Malolo Lounge, inspired and designed with SS Malolo d飯r in mind. Situated adjacent to the resort's lobby, the Malolo Lounge provides a stylish and comfortable atmosphere reminiscent of the kama'aina lifestyle of yesteryear and was inspired by the historical SS MALOLO steamship.

There is a renewed interest in old Hawaii and Hawaiian culture. One icon of the era that was perceived to be long gone was the era of steamship travel among the Hawaiian islands before the war in the late 20's and early 30's. The inspirational SS MALOLO, that made its maiden voyage from San Francisco to Hawaii in 1927, signaled the birth of Hawaii tourism. America's ongoing fascination with all things Hawaiian from fashion to food to the intriguing aloha spirit can be traced back to this romantic era.

The Kama'aina living room atmosphere was inspired by the lounges aboard steamships that sailed from San Francisco to Hawaii during the early 1920's. The casual elegance of the Malolo Lounge includes five distinctive seating areas: Multi-purpose Lounge, Bar Lounge, Billiard Game Area and two Outdoor Lanais with a mix of rattan and teak furniture along with rich tropical colors and natural woods. The intimacy of these seating areas is enhanced by colorful carpeting, tall palm plants and lush orchids. The natural color scheme compliments the beauty, comfort, and simple elegance of this lounge.

Hawaiian art depicts the lush landscapes, volcanic scenery and colorful tropical images of the 1920's Steamship era. All artwork is original, created by artists from the Big Island. The artwork, the music and dance of the islands exudes the warm hospitality of Hilton Waikoloa Village.

I would stay a month

We booked our vacation after the 9/11 attack. We were lucky to get a great rate at that time. It is the best resort we have ever stayed at. The kids loved the monorail and I loved the boats. I wish I could live there. It was so beautiful. The pools are fabulous. There several hot spas as well and wonderful poolside service. It has spoiled me for anything else. The shuttle takes you to a great beach. If I could afford it, I would stay a month.

The Best Hotel in All the Islands!!!!!!

My Husband and I just returned from our Honeymoon, where we had taken a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands and finished up our trip with a stay at the beautiful Hilton Waikoloa Village. The cruis was nice, but I would rather have spent more time at the Hilton!! I do a lot of traveling and I have to say that the Hilton Waikoloa Village has been the all around nicest Hotel I have stayed at!! The grounds are second to none, and the service.... from top to bottom was excellent!! Before our trip, we researched all the 4 and 5 star resorts on each island, and now truly believe we selected the best! It just doesn't get any better then this amazing resort! The Hilton Waikoloa Village is now our home away from home in Hawaii!!!

A true MEGA-resort

This place is HUGE! A monorail and Mohagany boats to take you around this place will give you some idea how big this place was. And I thought the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Oahu was BIG. We (group of 4) were lucky enough to get a room at the Lagoon tower which we believed was the better of the three towers. The beds were very comfortable. Looking out from our balcony (Lanai) we had the Dolphin pool to the left and the Lagoon to the right(great view). The Lagoon "pool" (which we thought was the best pool from the many they had) was close as well. If you visit this place try to get the Lagoon tower which is the closest one to the parking lot too. It's a long walk from the parking lot to the other towers (Ocean and Palace). The overall resort is 5 star quality. The staff as well especially the maids. Plenty of pools and plenty of beauty. Be prepared to spend some money though. Stuff there ain't cheap. Gotta see it though, it's a cool place. Aloha.

Would stay here again!

After researching on Great Hawaii Vacations.com for quite a while about which hotel to choose I found the Park Shore. We were greeted right away at the front desk and they held our luggage for a couple hours since we arrived early. When we got to our room we were very happy. The view was perfect. We looked right out to the ocean. It was beautiful. We had a corner hotel room so to our left was a great view of Diamond Head as well. I would definately request a room on the corner to get both views. The rooms are a little small but we did not mind at all. The hotel also has a great location. We were on the quieter end of Waikiki. The zoo is located directly across the street. We enjoyed walking through it. I definately recommend this hotel. It is cheaper than other hotels which makes it an even better place. We would definately stay there again.
Pamela, San Antonio, TX

The hotel is very conveniently located - next to the US Army Museum. For those on a tight budget - the kitchen offered a reprieve from pricey meals. The staff pleasant - just too bad Waikiki Beach is so filled with rocks. Made it difficult to walk in the water, not to mention the mushy sand. Found an awesome beach a 30 minute drive - up the East Coast at Waiminalo which offers shower and bath facilities as well as a picnic tables. I would recommend the hotel and if in Oahu again - would gladly park my suit case in one of their ocean front rooms!

Great Vacation!

Aloha! We, my husband and I and another couple, just returned from a week in Waikiki. It wasn't enough! You helped book us into the Waikiki Beachcomber. Both rooms were very clean, nicely decorated and quite roomy. We had a lanai and a good view of the ocean and part of Diamond Head. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Though they seemed to always look very busy, they were always gracious and quite willing to stop and answer our questions. The location of the hotel was perfect. You cross the road to the public accessway and you are right on the beach. And the shopping! The Beachcomber is located right above Macy's and next to the International MarketPlace which is aa shopper's dream. Then there is the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center right across the road. A 15 minute trolley ride will take you to the Ala Moana Shopping Center. We would suggest to book a room on a higher floor. The lower you are, the closer you are to street noise. Kalakaua Ave is very busy and can get get loud at peak traffic times. This hotel is perfectly located. You are central to the beach, shopping and a wide variety of restaurants, from fast food to gourmet dining. We would recommend the Waikiki Beachcomber to everyone.

exciting, remodeled, great place to stay

My husband and I were thrilled with the fun decor, modern TV and spacious feel to our room. We were able to completely unpack and feel at home right away because of the great drawer and cupboard and closet space. The refrigerator saved us money because we could do a little shopping in markets for cool drinks and treats. The pool area was especially fun because it is adjacent to a friendly bar area and drinks could be served as we lounged in the day-long sun. Don't miss Jimmy Buffet's restaurant, even if you do not stay at this property! It is extremely innovative with all of its extraordinary features (too numerous and difficult to explain, but definitely memorable). The staff made us feel relaxed and happy throughout our stay. We will definitely return, and we will tell all of our friends about the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber!

Can't beat the Sheraton Waikiki!

We recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki and thought that the room and the location were wonderful. Our room seemed recently renovated with a flat screen TV and a super comfortable king-size bed. The bathroom had modern fixtures AND a view of the ocean! The pool area was always clean and you could watch the hula shows in the evening. The location is great, within walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. We recommend the snorkeling excursion on the Maita'i catamaran which launches on the beach, right in front of the hotel. We swam with sea turtles and thought this was well worth the money. If you are going to Waikiki, we wholeheartedly recommend the Waikiki Sheraton.
Andie, Denver, CO

Great spot

My wife and I last stayed here 10 years ago and the hotel was in need of some updating back then. I'm pleased to report that the recent remodeling work they did has really paid off and helped put the Sheraton Waikiki back in the upper echelon of Waikiki hotels where it belongs. Our room had all of the modern amenities you'd expect in a hotel of this caliber. They redid the previously gaudy lobby, too. The location of course hasn't changed, but that's very much to the hotel's benefit as being right in the middle of Waikiki is so convenient for shopping and dining. We loved it so much we decided it will definitely be a lot less than 10 years before we make a return trip!

Renovated and Sparkling Again!

I've been staying at the Sheraton Waikiki every year for about 15 years now, and this has been my best stay thus far. Our Oceanfront hotel room was nicely renovated, the lobby looks better than it ever has, and their new Rum Fire lounge made for a great hangout for me and all my friends. The pool area was nicely redone, and it makes for a great spot to just hang back and enjoy the life on Waikiki Beach. I can tell you I'll definitely be staying again and again at the Sheraton Waikiki. A big shout out goes to Daniel at Great Hawaii Vacations. He found the best pricing for me, and knew exactly what I wanted. Thanks again, Great Hawaii Vacations!

It was a good choice

We originally wanted to stay at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach but they were sold out so we had to settle for the Sheraton Waikiki. Although, it was a bit more than what we wanted to spend, we ended up booking this on the advice of Great Hawaii Vacations. It was a good decision. We had a very good stay. The staff was very friendly and helped us when we asked.

Great, new place to stay!

The Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk was perfect for my family's vacation! Everything we needed was right there in our two bedroom suite. It was really worth it to have the kitchen. We could make quick lunches to wake to beach and had a place to store leftovers when we went out. I was kind of hesitant to book this hotel because it didn't have a pool, but my kids didn't even notice-they were so close to the beach! We felt like we were in the middle of all the action of Waikiki. The kids had plenty to keep themselves busy every minute of the vacation, which gave my husband and I a chance to really enjoy some time together. It couldn't have been better!!

Completely Renovated

The Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk has been completely renovated and just reopened as an Outrigger Hotel in February 2007. The rooms are beautifully furnished - very contemporary. Looks more like a hip urban condo than a typical Waikiki hotel. There's a full kitchen, high-speed internet access and flat-panel TVs in each room. All upper floors have a partial ocean, city and mountain view. The location is fantastic, just around the corner from the new Outrigger Beachwalk development, with lots of new shops and restaurants (Roy's, Holokai Grill, Yardhouse, Nobu's). I would highly recommend this hotel.

Outrigger Regency on Beachwalk

Enjoyed staying here for a week and we can give our satisfied evaluation as a whole. First of all, we could have a partial ocean view from ""City View" room that we stayed. We have not only an ABC mart but also an Italian and 2 Japanese restaurants on the 1st floor. (We greatly urge you to try the Italian restaurant beacuse it seaves totally authentic Italian with great atste but casua and staff are pretty enjoyable; so, you have to make reservation before visiting or you'll have to wait in a long line!) This condo doesn't have a swimming pool but you can walk down to the Outrigger Reef that is located in a 3-minute walk distance, where you can enjoy both swimming in the pool and beach. Addition to it, we strongly recommend you to use a restaurant "Shore Bird" on the 1st floor of Outrigger Reef in which you can enjoy self-cooking BBQ. You should visit 5pm~6pm and during BBQing and dinner enjoy sunset in the ocean that is unbelievably beautiful!! Allow me to mention 2 things that should have been improved: first, a fabric couch in a room made sitters itchy due to mites or something; and second, a dryer machine doesn't work well maybe because they don't get the lint off the dryer regularly. But anyhow, all in all, we could enjoyed our stay at the condo and would like to recommend others to use here!
