Very Peaceful and Beautiful

The Napili Point Resort was perfect for our honeymoon. We wanted to go somewhere quiet, but with a great beach nearby. This property had it all... a beautiful cove to snorkel in with tons of huge turtles, a white sandy beach within walking distance, a fully equipped condo and kitchen and more. Try it and you wont be disappointed, I promise.

An Absolute Must!!!

We were blessed to have found Napili Point Resort, which ended up being the most wonderful place to stay but as it turned out we were also married on 5/6/05 approx. 25 steps from our front door of the condo. You can't beat the beautiful sunset views, the wonderful cove on one side and the beach on the other. We swam daily with several turtles and enjoyed every aspect of our vacation. Our service was very friendly, and we plan on returning every year without even considering another place to stay.

Thanks for a great Vacation!

Just got back from two weeks at Napili Point. We stayed in a ground floor suite with a partial ocean view. We really loved it. Our unit was very quiet most nights and we fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves. When winds were calm, we enjoyed snorkeling the little cove; when winds kicked up, we had a great time walking out to the end of the point to watch whales and the surfers take on the waves. All in all, this place is probably best for people who want a quieter time without all the tourist hustle and bustle. If you want resort razzle-dazzle then better stay in Kaanapali. Also, Napili beach takes a bit of work to get to and novice snorkelers should note that getting into the water in the cove means climbing on steep rocks. Backwash from waves as you're getting in and out can be quite dangerous if the surf's up. Otherwise, it's a charming place to stay.

Beyond our expectations for a relaxing vacation...

We were not sure what to expect when we booked our condo at the Napili Point Resort. We were simply looking for a relaxing vacation away from our hectic lives. Daniel at Great Hawaii Vacations told us that this was a very peaceful and serene area and close to many of the activities that we would like to do (snorkeling, golf etc.). We were beyond surprised when we checked into our oceanfront condo - steps away from the breathtaking coastline and exceptional views of Lanai and Molokai. The bay views from every angle just had us gasping. Snorkling was superb. Golf at Kapalua - hard to beat!!! Minutes from many great restaurants and activities in Kaanapali and Lahaina. Coming back from our adventorous days to our private, beautiful oceanfront condo made this vacation in paradise our absolute favorite. Thank you Daniel and Great Hawaii Vacations for exceeding our expectations.

Escape from Reality

We escaped from reality when we stayed at the Napili Point Resort. As I saw in a review of this property, we too just wanted to get away from the craziness of our lives. We completely escaped into a peaceful, battery recharging, and romantic (surprised me) state of mind. So many of the activities we like to do were so close at hand, yet, here we were, quiet minds and content. Eric, our travel agent at Great Hawaii Vacations, listened to what we needed and sent us to a place that was beyond PERFEct. We really needed this and are vert thankful to Eric and Great Hawaii Vacations for our Escape to Paradise.
John & Linda Devons, Carlsbad, CA

Heaven on earth....

This was our first trip to Maui. Had no clue where we were going to stay. Called up the nice people at Great Hawaii Vacations and spoke to Eric. Based on our needs, he recommended a few places. We decided to choose the Napili Point. The place was just perfect for us. It's not a fancy place by any means, but the views and the location of the condo cannot be beat. We were able to snorkel with sea turtles everyday we were there. We were happy with Eric's recommendation and look forward to visiting the Napili Point again in the near future.
Doris and Melvin Gibson, St. Louis, MO

Best Vacation EVER!

This was the best vacation I've ever had!. The Hale Pua Hana had THE best location I saw and the rates are super reasonable. I really found a Gem. I just got back and am already planning next years trip to the this complex! It is directly on THE best beach in Maui, I even swam with sea turtles! I was close to EVERYTHING and my unit was gorgeous! Very updated, clean, quiet and super comfortable. The complex was very quiet at night. I feel asleep each eve to the sounds of the waves crashing. It was awesome, what can I say. BOOK THIS PLACE! you won't be sorry!

A hidden gem

We recently came back from staying at the Hale Pau Hana. What a great little place! Originally, we had planned on staying in Kaanapali, but after speaking with Eric at Great Hawaii Vacations, he recommended that we look into staying at this condo. We're glad that we took his advice. The place has a fantastic beach right in front of the property. All we had to do was walk out and there was the ocean! It was great. The unit that we got was very good - the view was outstanding. The only caution that I would add is that the area of Kihei is quite busy with allot of traffic especially on the main road. Other than the occasional noise, we loved it.
Samantha, Studio City, CA

Outstanding ocean front location

We stayed 2 weeks in #204 which had recently been totally renovated. It is simply spectacular. Everything was wonderful until some non-stop smokers moved into unit #104 directly below. We got the smoke from 6 am until midnight. If you are going to stay at Hale Pau Hana be sure to request a renovated unit and away from smokers, or ask if the smokers will be in unit #104. If the unit has not been renovated it can be pretty shabby as this is a very old property.

Great Place to Relax!!

Everything about Maui Hill is great. The staff, the grounds, the location, and the units are all superior. What a great place to relax and enjoy.

Wonderful service and place for a holiday

We stayed at ResortQuest Maui Hill for 10 wonderflul days. Everything was excellent. The service, the condo, the people all were wonderful. The place was spotless, all things in our condo were almost new and in working condition. Ladies who regularly cleaned our condo were friendly and good at with what they were doing. I don't have anything negative for this place. I would strongly recommend this place. Thanks. Regards, Hakan Ersoy Sydney/Australia
Hakan Ersoy, Sydney, NSW

Very, very, very nice and a comfortable place to spend a long time.

We had a magnificent and HUGE area that we took full advantage of. I was very impressed with the accomodations and super-friendly workers at this resort. We didn't have direct ocean views but we could look out at the inlet and spot Molokini, Kahoolawe and Lanai - they were very prominent from our Lanai (our porch).i. The staff maintain this place very well - and it's very, very clean. It's perfect for a large family or for just a couple of two newlyweds!!. Great pool area. Friendly people, everywhere. You just need to book a long vacation here, because once you fall into the groove of this wonderful island - for many folks, it will be time to head back to the mainland. STAY HERE FOR A FULL 3 WEEKS!!! Honestly - truly!! It's a wonderful space to give yourself two or three days to fall into the groove, and then stay for another 2 weeks or so and soak up this spirit of Aloha!!! Hawaii is the absolute best, and the United States were extremely lucky to have nabbed it, back in the day. EVEN THOUGH WE UGLY AMERICANS HAVE MADE IT INTO SOMETHING ELSE, YOU ARE BOUND TO FIND TRULY MAGICAL EXPERIENCES HERE. The Island people are truly authentic, and it's wonderful to feel the perfect experience of "Aloha!" As corny as that may sound to mainlanders, treat ALL of the Hawaiian Islands - and ALL of the native Islanders with respect and you will be rewarded tens times over!!! This is truly "paradise on Earth!" You will be exceptionally comfortable here at Maui Hill! We loved it!!! You deserve to let loose and experience Maui - this way!!!!
James Woody, San Francisco, California

Awesome

This is a GREAT place. I did alot of research for condos before I booked my reservation. I read alot of good reviews, but I was still very surprised when we opened the door to our unit. It has really nice size rooms. We really enjoyed watching the sunsets from the Lanai, and whale watching in the morning with our coffee. Usually I like to go somewhere different every year, but I have decided I'll make reservations next year again at Maui Hill. Location is great, staff is friendly and the Condos are Great! See you in 2009.

Maui Lover

Sending this review from Sugar Beach. The condos are great for the money and you are right on the water and the beach is very private. I would highly recommend this to anyone. The condo is large and spacious and so quiet, we have yet to hear anyone in the building. Can't wait to return again to Sugar Beach Resort.
Sara, San Diego, CA

Loved the Sugar Beach Resort!

Overall, I would recommend Sugar Beach. Our condo was fully-furnished and well-equipped, almost like not leaving home, except fthe weather was much better and we were right on the beach! The beach right in front has a lot of rocks, but there are plenty of beaches, in either direction, to chose from. Or you can use the pool at the resort, which is meticulouly maintained. The grounds and the landscaping were very well kept . This is a nice condo complex, very private and relaxing. We really liked staying in Kihei. It is an easy drive to Lahaina and Wailea, but Kihei has it's own special laid-back feeling. Good selection of restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay Sugar Beach and Kihei.
Michelle, Austin, TX

Amazing view

We had one of the oceanfront rooms and the view was amazing. I've been to Hawaii six times and this is by far the best view we had. Everywhere we looked there was ocean. Not bad for less than $130 a night.

Maui sand and sun

My neice and I stayed on floor room ocean front, and had I been able to kiss who ever booked our room I would have. We are about to return in a couple weeks, and i already know it will be as beautiful as it was the first time. The grounds are outstanding, and what can you say,,, its Maui at her best. If I could buy one of those condo's I would do it without hesitation. I have searched for great locations and Sugar beach is by far the best layout out there.
Laurie, reno, nv

Maui is the Best!

My husband and I have stayed at Sugar Beach nine times now and cannot wait to go back. Most of the times we stayed at the same condo on the fist floor. It is most amazing. It is actually the condo that is shown on the picture gallery. We just love the condo and the owners. They are great. True the beach out front is corally, but you can sit and watch the turtles bob their head (they are eating seaweed). It is so fun! We haven't seen the whales, yet, but that is next. They say you can sit on the lanai and watch whales and their calves. How exciting! As you can see, we love Maui and especially Sugar Beach Resort. Aloha

Best vacation for sure and GREAT RESORT

My cousin and I went to Maui, Kihei to be exact and stayed at Sugar Beach Resort, the late check-in was a little weird but besides that the Resort was AMAZING, your in your own little condo by the pool on the beach it was absolutely wonderful, it was the first vacation that i definately was not ready to leave! There was so many things to do on the Island, we did snorkleing, kayaking, surfing, luau, shopping, a helicopter tour, explored the mountains and beaches ( including a nude beach), and ate and drank our hearts desires. I wish I could move there it truley was AMAZING!
Melissa, Westport, massachusetts

Had the best time ever

Had a great time here. We hated to leave. The lady's in the gift/tour's shop were the best. Our housekeeper was very nice I dont think that their was anythin that went wrong. Look forward to coming back here again..

THE OCEAN FRONT CONDO I RENT IS WONDERFUL. THE VIEW & THE BEACH MY HUSBAND & I HAVE STAYED THERE 6 TIMES FOR A MONTH EACH TIME. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO COMING BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR.THE CONDO WAS WELL EQIOPED. THE OWNER TAKES GOOD CARE OF IT. HOPE TO BE BACK SOON.

On the beach and great views

We head to Hawaii every few years, and this time we wanted something reasonable and on the beach. Our agent, Daniel, steered us towards the Sugar Beach Resort, and I must stay he made the right recommendation! We picked a 1-bedroom Oceanfront, and received one on the 5th floor. It was a nicely-furnished unit with a great view. We spent a fair bit of time on the lanai with cocktails in hand. The Sugar Beach Resort was a great starting point for us to really explore the island, from Kapalua to Makena, and even Hana. The beach in front is pretty average, though it is a nice long stretch to walk along. All in all, we had a great time. We really appreciate Daniel's knowledge of the islands, and look forward to working with him and Great Hawaii Vacations again.
Alan, Medford, OR

We were expecting much more

Don't get me wrong. For what we paid, it was a good vacation. We usually stay at hotels like the Wailea Marriott, but we decided to try a condo this time around because we were going to Maui as part of a family reunion. We got a really good price for a one bedroom oceanfront room. The view was awesome. I just wish the place had more amenities. I'll probably never stay in a condo resort again, but if you're looking for good deals and the ability to cook your own meals, condos are a good way to go.

Manele Bay Hotel A Quiet Spot

We were trying to have a quiet vacation and were recommended the Manele Bay Hotel by Great Hawaii Vacations. It it is truly a quite place. When we were there it was mid-week and it was very uncrowded. We enjoyed the beach and the pool area. The only drawback of the property and the island is that there are not many restaurants to choose from. We also eat at the Lodge of Koele which is very nice also. If you are looking for an active vacation this would not be the place.

Heaven on Earth

I loved my stay at your hotel and am really remembering it now as it is snowing here and I do not like to be cold. I have been to the state of Hawaii 4 years in a row and am returning in 2005, and I have to say this is the nicest, friendliest place I have ever stayed. Please don't change a thing! Pam Melcher

Only Choice Once You've Been There

From the first time my wife and I visited Manele Bay Hotel in 1996, we have come back every year, sometimes twice. After you've done Maui, Oahu, The Big Island, even the North Shore and Kauai - and you want elegance, quiet and tropical comfort at its best, there is no place better. It's like going to Hana but with a FEW more things to do! Greatest golf courses in the world. Fantastic beach and snorkeling. Only a few restaurants but they are excellent. And NO McDonalds or franchise anything's - or street lights, traffic, etc... It is really old Hawaii at its best. Did I mention elegant? And you can easily pop over to Lahaina just in case you miss the tourists and all the trappings.

The Service and Accommodations Were Out of This World

On our honeymoon last July we stayed at the Lodge for the part time in Hawaii. Lana'i is fabulously exclusive! The Lodge is like staying in the most deluxe English manor. The grounds & facilities are magnificent. The food is wonderful. The services & people are superb! Take advantage of the whole property - the game room, library, fitness center & pool - and don't forget afternoon tea! We visited Manele Bay - it is truly beautiful as well - but felt much more than satisfied with staying at the Lodge. These resorts are lifetime treasures that you won't stop dreaming about when you get home. We can't wait to go back!

Had a great time at the Fairmont Orchid

My wife and I had a truly terrific vacation at the Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island. I cannot say enough good things about the property. We loved our room which was spacious and well decorated. The pool was large and quite and it was easy to walk to the beach which was a few steps from the pool. We particularly enjoyed the casual restaurant by the pool. Most nights we would have a light dinner and enjoy the Hawaiian music of Dino. I also got a chance to use the gym at the property and the equipment was the best I have ever seen even in professional gyms. Also the treadmills faced the ocean for a lovely view while working out. Cannot wait to go back!

Best Vacation Experience!

When we searched for a hotel, my 6 year old's desire was to see sea turtles. Not only did she see them, she swam with them. The room was gorgeous and comfortable, the pool and lagoon were wonderful as well. The food was first class, and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Aside from donating a few golf balls to the "lava rough", we had a wonderful and relaxing time.

Favorite Hotel on the Big Island

This place is amazing. My husband and I decided to give the Orchid a try for our anniversary. We stayed at the Four Seasons Hualalai last year, but we wanted to save a little money this time around so settled on the Orchid. Are we glad we did! The rooms and service are amazing!! The Four Seasons is great, don't get me wrong, but we received comparable service and amenities at the Orchid for a fraction of the cost. The beach is fantastic, too, especially if you like to snorkel. We can't wait to go back!!

Thank you for referring us to the Fairmont Orchid for our 25th Anniversary! The stay was everything we hoped for and then some! The staff members were so professional we thought we were in a dream! I could not have asked for a better quality room or service. Thanks again! We plan to celebrate our next anniversary there as well.
Angel T., Oklahoma City, OK

I could not believe how spectacular this resort is. The Fairmont Orchid had everything I could ask for in a vacation. Friendly staff, clean updated rooms, great pool and great golf! Thanks Great Hawaii Vacations! I'll be a return guest for sure.

Oh My God!!

I decided to bring my family to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel because I had heard that my favorite actor, Kevin Costner had stayed here some years ago while filming Water World. We were all blown away. The place is just wonderful. The service, the amenities, the beach, the rooms - everything was just top notch. I hope to return real soon. Until then, we'll have to just relive our experience through the many photos we took while we were there.

True Aloha Spirit

The Mauna Lani restores your soul. Kurt Matsumoto and the entire staff provide the ultimate spirit of Aloha to all aspects of the Hotel. From the sacred fish ponds to the turtles in the lagoon to the Canoe House restaurant nothing falls short of excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. The beach is fantastic; the spa is world class. Learn watercolor techniques from various artists daily, but the best of them all is Candace Lee. Be sure to ask for Kurt at the front desk and tell him how much you appreciate your experience, and tell him hello for Lisa and me. We will always return to our home away from home. There is no equal for the Mauna Lani experience. Come and see for yourself...you won't ever want to go anywhere else.

Paradise Found

We were lucky enough to enjoy a weeks stay with our 4 adult children at this wonderful resort. Having stayed at various high end resorts on Maui and Oahu we were more than pleased with the Mauna Lani. Everything about the resort reflects the true Hawaiian spirit...all the employees are so pleasant, the rooms beautiful, and the grounds spectacular. It was a very relaxing vacation and we hope we are able to return sometime in the near future.

The hotel staff is well trained and the rooms and interior and exterior areas placed and designed for incredible views and natural beauty. This hotel is a top resort in the country with the number one spa in Hawaii and has won a green award! What can you say

It was between this and the Hilton. We chose this because Susanne @ Great Hawaii Vacations said this would be a much better choice for my honeymoon. And it was. The grounds, the facilities, the beach - ALL A+. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for the best. It was a trip of a lifetime. I hope I can save up enough money to get down there again.
Eric, Irving, TX

Luxury at its BEST

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel was the first property that we stayed at on the Big Island. I have to say "what was I waiting for?" The renovations were superb, the views breathtaking, my husband couldn't say enough about the golf courses, the beach was beautiful, our room and view were beyond perfect as well as the lounge, restaurants and the property overall. Kavan at Great Hawaii Vacations got us a great rate on not only the property but the airfare and car rental as well. Thanks for fulfilling your comittment to personalized service and helping us find luxury at its best!!

Newly Renovated and Nicer Than I Remember

This was my first time back to the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in about 8 years. A friend of mine had booked with Great Hawaii Vacations for an April trip and really enjoyed his stay, so I followed suit and booked. The room makeover was great, and tastefully redone with the Mauna Kea flair (think orange!). The beach is still wonderful, the food still great. The service was above average. I am now seeing that rates are coming down on this hotel, and I will be going back would recommend this property for any couple looking for an above average resort experience in Hawaii.

A True Surprise

Never having stayed on the Big Island, We were truly surprised at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. We were told of the renovations but did not expect the 5star luxury that we found. OUTSTANDING!!! Following suit with 5star luxury were the 10star views. The beach and shorline were amazing. The property overall was perfect. Patti at Great Hawaii Vacations made sure we had the best deal and we have to say the it was way above our expectations. Thanks for the personal service and helping us find our 'Perfect Vacation in Paradise.'

Mauna Kea is simply lovely

When I was a child, our family used to stay at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. After the earthhquake, I was saddened. Luckily, my new husband and I had a chance to go back to the hotel. They did a really, really nice job. I was very impressed. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is simply the best.
