What a Vacation!
The Waikoloa Colony Villas are some of the nicest condos we have ever vacationed in, we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. The furniture and appliances were all modern and new, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Our unit had high ceilings and a spacious living area.
This property is a gated community and is very secure for families with children. Parking was no problem. The grounds and common areas: pools, barbecues, were constantly maintained. It seemed that the gardeners worked around the clock.
The Waikoloa Colony Villas are a bit removed from the center of the action of Kailua Kona area. Hint: stop at Costco, just outside of the Kona airport and stock up, otherwise you'll have to drive into town for groceries.
The Kings Shop's are within walking distance, but these are mostly high-end shops, gift shops and restaurants and a Starbucks.
Hawaii has some great beaches, all within a 30 minute drive, our favorite is Hapuna Beach, beautiful sand and very clean.
The Villas are great place to return to after a long day of swimming, snorkeling, golfing, hiking and sightseeing. What a wonderful place, really home, to return to at the end of the day. |
