HAWAII The Big Island

A quaint village located in the Southern portion of the island. A fun oceanfront town with plenty of small shops, stores and restaurants.

Since there are few swimming beaches in Kona, most of the condominium properties have very nice oceanfront swimming pools. Also, most of the condo complexes are located on Alii Drive, a street that parallels the ocean and therefore, most of the complexes have very nice oceanfront views. The great majority of the accommodations are more moderately priced, this includes the hotels as well. There are some incredible values to be found in Kona.

Just 15 minutes from the Keahole airport exists a most remarkable resort area. There are only two resorts in this locale that are very distinctive and different. The Kona Village Resort with its sandy beaches and natural setting isolates guests from the rest of the world in a by-gone experience of "old" Hawaii. The Four Seasons Hualalai pampers its guests with a total luxury experience.

The resort area of Waikoloa is one of the more upscale resort communities on the island of Hawaii. Located on the South Kohala Coast, the area offers accommodations that are less expensive than those found in Mauna Lani and Mauna Kea.

None of the condos in this area are located on the beach, but most of them are located within walking distance to A-Bay Beach. The condos are some of the best in all of Hawaii with most of them being built within the last few years.

If you enjoy golf, there are some terrific courses in the area as well.

Located on the South Kohala Coast, the resort area of Mauna Lani is the home to some of the most luxurious accommodations - both hotel and condo - in all of Hawaii. The upscale hotels in the area occupy some of the best stretches of beach to be found in Mauna Lani. The condos are generally located near a golf course, and not directly on a beach. Most of the condos, however, are located within 5 minutes to one of the top beaches in the area.

Also, Mauna Lani has some of the very best golf courses, specifically, the North and South Courses which are routinely rated as some of the top courses in the United States.

Mauna Kea is one of the most upscale resort areas on the South Kohala Coast. There aren't many accommodations in the area, but some of the beaches and also the golf courses in the area are terrific in overall quality.

A commercial city located on the Northern coast of Hawaii which receives a substantial amount of rain. Because of this rainfall, Hilo is very lush and tropical.

Located approximately 30-45 minutes to Volcano National Park, Hilo is a very good place to stay when you want to visit the volcanoes. Hotel accommodations only.
