Sweeping ocean views and brilliant island sunsets provide a magnificent backdrop to the oceanfront dining experience of Pahu i`a, where the indoors are caressed by tradewinds, the waves illuminated by the stars and the gentle surf endlessly soothes.
While the restaurants centrepiece is a brilliant aquarium (Pahu i`a in Hawaiian) its focal point is the vast cobalt blue ocean and rhythmic, rolling surf merely steps away.
At your table, our chefs pay homage to Hawaiis bounty and the surrounding Pacific Ocean. Combined with legendary Four Seasons hospitality and service, it is an inviting atmosphere of relaxed and casual elegance.
Naupaka Terrace, an extension of existing lanai seating, offers panoramic views of the ocean in an intimate setting. Naupaka kahakai is the name of a native Hawaiian shrub that grows naturally along Hawaii's beaches. Its white blossoms appear to be only half of a flower. Legend says that the flower is made whole by joining it with a "half flower" from the naupaka kuahiwi or mountain naupaka, which grows upland.

Thank you very much for recommending the Fours Seasons Hualalai as a honeymoon destination. We had never heard of Hualalai, but of course we knew the Four Seasons name.
Now we know it by reputation. The staff is excellent and made us feel like celebrities. They were always cheerful and more than willing to answer anything from where to eat, what to do today, where to find little hideaway places, etc.
I can't even describe how beautiful this resort is. I felt like I was stepping into a different time and place, paradise indeed! The rooms are huge and the bathrooms are stunning. We had a an in-room shower and 2nd outside shower.
We don't play golf, but the course was so beautiful, that we are planning to take lessons so that when we come back for our 5th aniiversary (we're already planning!), we can take advantage of that feature.
It was a dream vacation and we want to say "Thanks" for being a part.
