Excellent hotel at a very reasonable price. The view from the "Bay Rooms" is exceptionally nice. The hotel has an excellent Aloha spirit and is a full service hotel. The Hilo Hawaiian is probably the best hotel in Hilo.

The Hilo Hawaiian is a moderately priced hotel located on Hilo Bay approximately two miles from Hilo Airport.

Located on the shores of Hilo Bay, the Hilo Hawaiian offers breathtaking views of the ocean, Coconut Island and the towering peak of 13,700-foot Mauna Kea.

The Hilo Hawaiian is the perfect headquarters for exploring Big Island wonders such as the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The Hilo Hawaiian is approximately 45 minutes from Volcano National Park. Approximately 2-3 hours drive to Kailua-Kona.

Beach Information

Hilo Bay is not a swimming bay or beach. The weather conditions are not very favorable in Hilo and therefore going to the beach is an iffy proposition. If you desire to go to the beach it is a 20 minute drive from the Hilo Hawaiian.
