One of our favorite resorts in Kona. The Kona Reef has more amenities than most properties in the area, and enjoys a spectacular ocean front location. This property also has superb areas for family get-togethers, namely the pool and barbecue areas.
Property Description
The Kona Reef is an oceanfront condominium complex with excellent amenities and ocean views. The pool, Jacuzzi and barbecue area are particularly attractive and steps away from the ocean.
The complex is beautifully landscaped, fastidiously maintained and blissfully tranquil. The Kona Reef is in a terrific location. It's just a short walk to picturesque Kailua Village with its shops, seaside restaurants, nightlife, and a beach perfect for kids or the kids at heart.
If you stay in an oceanfront or oceanview condo at the Kona Reef, you will enjoy 180 degree panoramic views of the dramatic Kona coastline and magnificent sunsets in the evening. The building is solid concrete, providing for the utmost privacy and serenity, the only sounds being those of the rustling palms and the gentle surf breaking below your lanai.

Beach Information
There is only one really good beach in Kona. Kahaluu Beach is a small black sand beach with excellent snorkeling. It is located four miles from the Kona Reef.
Notes - 2nt minimum stay. Mid-stay housekeeping for 7 night minimum stays. Free wireless internet access in lobby and pool area.
Last year was our second time staying at the Kona Reef. My husband and I stayed there in 1984 and then we stayed there with our two teenagers last year. We were very happy there. This resort is really nice. Our condo was right on the ocean and the view was cool. We could watch sea turtles from our lanai, and saw some beautiful sunsets. Our condo had everything we needed and was nicely furnished and comfortable. There is a little beach right next to the property. The town was about a 5 minute walk and there were plenty of reataurants and shops. We had a great time!

Thank you so much for helping me book my hotel through Great Hawaii Vacations. I originally booked the Aqua Wave Hotel, and you offered a recommendation on the Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel. I took your advice and cannot thank you enough. The location was great, as well as the amenities & services the hotel had to offer. I would definately stay at that hotel again.
