Property Description
The world-renowned deluxe Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is located on beautiful Kauna'oa Bay, considered by many to be the island's single most picturesque beach.
The crescent-shaped beach with pure white sands and shimmering aqua waters, is perfect for water activities including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, catamaran riding, whale watching and deep-sea fishing. Even at night, guests of the Mauna Kea Beach Resort step onto a circular lava outcropping overlooking the bay to watch the manta rays swim beneath.

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel was the first property that we stayed at on the Big Island. I have to say "what was I waiting for?" The renovations were superb, the views breathtaking, my husband couldn't say enough about the golf courses, the beach was beautiful, our room and view were beyond perfect as well as the lounge, restaurants and the property overall. Kavan at Great Hawaii Vacations got us a great rate on not only the property but the airfare and car rental as well. Thanks for fulfilling your comittment to personalized service and helping us find luxury at its best!!

Newly Renovated and Nicer Than I Remember
This was my first time back to the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel in about 8 years. A friend of mine had booked with Great Hawaii Vacations for an April trip and really enjoyed his stay, so I followed suit and booked. The room makeover was great, and tastefully redone with the Mauna Kea flair (think orange!). The beach is still wonderful, the food still great. The service was above average. I am now seeing that rates are coming down on this hotel, and I will be going back would recommend this property for any couple looking for an above average resort experience in Hawaii.

Thank you so much for helping me book my hotel through Great Hawaii Vacations. I originally booked the Aqua Wave Hotel, and you offered a recommendation on the Resortquest Waikiki Beach Hotel. I took your advice and cannot thank you enough. The location was great, as well as the amenities & services the hotel had to offer. I would definately stay at that hotel again.
