The Kahaluu Bay Villas is a small and quiet condominium complex offers deluxe and spacious condominiums close to the best beach in Kona.
The spacious condos at the Kahaluu Bay Villas offer many upgrades with beautiful Koa wood throughout the unit. The two bedroom condos are extra large with about 1475 square feet and are very reasonably priced.
The Kahaluu Bay Villas is located just off of Ali'i drive, and is a one minute walk to the Kahaluu Beach Park. This is a popular spot to surf and snorkel; it is frequented by turtles, and has a sheltered access for novice snorkelers. A further ten minute walk will take you to White Sands Beach (a.k.a. Magic Sands).
Kona town is just a short drive from the Kahaluu Bay Villas. Kona town offer a large choice of restaurants, stores and art galleries. Most of the Big Island activities depart from Kona town.

Beach Information
Kahaluu Bay Villas is a short 3/4 block walk to Kahaluu Bay, which is the best snorkeling and swimming beach in Kona. Another beach, Disappearing Sands Beach, usually has good swimming conditions between April and October.

We`recently returned from the Big Island, where we stayed at the Kahaluu Bay Villas, just a block away from Kahaluu Bay.
It's a small condo complex, though the units are quite large and fully equipped, so generally quiet and relaxing. They also have a clean pool and BBQ area, which is a nice "meet and greet" area.
When we didn't want to cook, Kona is just a short drive away.
This complex has underground parking which keeps your car from getting too hot. It's definitely a plus.
Kahaluu Bay seems to be favorite spot for sea turtles. You can watch them sunning themselves on the rocks. The bay is a great area for snorkeling too.
It's not a fancy resort, but we really didn't miss anything, not even home (ha ha).
We` would be happy to return to Hawaii and the Kahaluu Bay Villas.
