Great Golf on Maui
Although Maui is known as the windsurfing capital of the world, the golfing here is actually quite incredible. You do need to mind the wind, though, which means you're better off golfing in the morning since the winds tend to kick up in the afternoon. Up in Kapalua at the Kapalua Plantation Course you will find what most regard as the toughest course in Hawaii. The fact that the PGA's Mercedes Championships are held here is a testament to the course's challenge. Down south you also have some beautiful courses with the Gold, Emerald and Blue courses in Wailea. Typically, if you are staying in the same resort area that the course is located in, you can get a discount on the greens fees through the property you have booked; ask your travel agent for details.
